Getting Involved!

Every professional in any career has an opportunity and obligation to contribute to the growth, development and maintenance of the profession in a number of different ways. Most professionals support their local, state and national organizations through memberships in these organizations. Still others participate regularly in the activities sponsored by these organizations. To be a professional is to accept these responsibilities. In return, you receive the benefit of the collective wisdom of practicing professionals whose major goal is to further the profession and enhance its contributions to society in general.

You become involved in WPRA by volunteering on a number of boards, committees or task forces. Each WPRA Region and Section has a board and/or a number of committees needing volunteers to help organize local events and trainings. To become involved at the local level, contact your Region Representative or Section Chair and find out how you can help. Click here to view a list of Regions/Sections. There are a number of state level committees and task forces that are also looking for volunteer members. You can view the statewide committees by clicking here. To become involved on the state board click here.
