Creating
Community Power Point Presentation
In
response to member requests for ideas on how to
articulate the Agency’s role in creating community
through people, parks and programs, WPRA has released a
power point presentation. This power point presentation
includes templates that allow the agency to easily
personalize it with the agency name, statistics,
programs and services. This presentation is excellent
to use for presentations to neighborhood associations,
non-profit organizations, and business groups. To

Guide to Develop a Request for Proposal
The Request for Proposal (RFP) is a process or tool to
solicit professional services, such as
consulting services to facilitate and prepare a
Strategic Plan, General Plan, or Master Plan. A
RFP may be required by an organization’s procurement
policies or when an organization desires an assessment
of the prospective consultants’ capability to perform
the services especially when the capabilities cannot be
stated in precise, concrete terms.
An RFP permits an agency to assess each proposer's
strengths and weaknesses in areas such as prior
experience with similar contracts, managerial experience
with similar projects, staff expertise, the feasibility
of the approach or plans proposed in response to RFP
requirements and technical capabilities. In the
evaluation and selection process, the technical aspects
and the cost proposed by each proposer are evaluated
separately. The results are then combined to determine
the successful proposer.
