Job Description
The City of Chippewa Falls (Pop. 14,405) is accepting applications for the Director of Parks, Recreation, and Forestry. Responsibilities include:

Supervising the administration and work of the department and overseeing approximately 100 full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees
Developing recreation activities and services
Establishing a program for use of volunteers
Promoting and coordinating fundraising by businesses, organizations and individuals to contribute to department facilities and services
Advising in the acquisition, planning, design, construction, and maintenance of recreation and park facilities
Directing and controlling accounts for the expenditures and revenues of department funds
Keeping informed of laws, regulations, and current developments affecting the department
Interpreting recreation service to the public including participating in community meetings and organizational planning.

Qualifications
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Park and Recreation Administration and a minimum of five years related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Qualified candidate must have strong supervisory management skills; possess excellent written and oral communication abilities; be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Products; and possess sound analytical and reasoning aptitude

Salary/Salary Range
$58,972.79 - $70,767.35 dependent upon qualifications
