Hamilton Consulting Group COVID-19 Resource Website on the State Actions

WPRA has retained 
the Hamilton Consulting Group (HCG), a government relations firm located in Madison. HCG will work with the WPRA policy committee, board of directors and broader membership to develop and implement WPRA’s legislative platform, advancing state policies that better parks and recreation services in Wisconsin.

HCG is a comprehensive governmental relations firm, that specializes in representing associations, nonprofits and businesses on regulatory and legislative matters before the Wisconsin Legislature and state agencies. HCG team members, Caty McDermott and Andy Engel, both registered lobbyists, will be working with WPRA. Caty currently represents several associations comprised of local units of government and is knowledgeable about issues of interest for WPRA, including water quality, tourism and outdoor recreation. Her diverse experience ranges from managing a statewide trade association, to working for a state budget office doing budget and policy development and working for municipal and state agencies. Andy, an owner of HCG, is a veteran lobbyist, who has worked in Wisconsin politics for over a decade prior to joining HCG. Andy’s last job in the Capitol was as the Chief of Staff to then Senate Majority Leader Judy Robson and he has extensive campaign experience ranging from state legislative races to statewide presidential campaigns.

HCG will give WPRA direct access to the state legislative process and keep members engaged and informed about policies impacting the industry. WPRA members will receive regular legislative updates, policy analysis, and bill tracking reports.
