WPRA is excited to launch a new Emerging Professionals Mentorship Program! This program is designed to connect emerging professionals with experienced park and recreation leaders for career development, professional networking, and leadership growth.

Whether you’re looking for guidance as you navigate your career or you’re an experienced professional ready to share your knowledge and experience, there’s a place for you!

Timeline
The program will kickoff in January of 2027 and run through May of 2027, mentors and mentees will be assigned in December of 2026.

Mentor & Mentee Eligibility

Mentors

  • 6+ years in parks and recreation
  • Willing to meet 4–6 times during the program (virtually or in-person)
  • WPRA member

Mentees

  • 5 years or less in parks and recreation
  • Interested in career development and networking
  • WPRA member
